Senior designer Samsung, Shin-Hyoung Park, denied that the alleged cheating Samsung iPhone. Before Apple released the iPhone in 2007, Samsung claimed, it was first made cell phone F700 with minimalist design in 2006.
Apple in the trial against Samsung in the United States, Friday (08/10/2012), Park asserted, he was directly involved in designing the F700 since May 2006. Then, the F700's design patent application had been filed in December 2006.
While Apple has officially marketed first-generation iPhone in June 2007.
F700 has a design similar to the iPhone. The touch screen that size is not too large, rectangular, each designed curved corners, edges of the phone covered stainless bezel, and use only one physical button below the screen. Samsung did not give ornament and choose a soft black color for F700. The phone has a slider keyboard design.
"Park was inspired by a bowl of water, with a smooth front surface for the design," wrote the Samsung in the document presented in court.
Since 2010, Apple accused cheating Galaxy smartphone iPhone design and technology, as well as Galaxy Tab tablet that mimics the iPad.
Legal battle between Apple and Samsung is currently underway in the U.S. since July 30, 2012 and will last for approximately four weeks. Apple sued Samsung to pay compensation amounting to 2.5 billion dollars for patent infringement.
While Samsung will fight in court so that it can sell products in the U.S. smartphone and tablet, which is actually a very important market. Samsung said Apple is trying to stifle competition in order to continue to gain market "exorbitant" from the sale of its products.
